Fall Beauty Trends

Happy Belated Thanksgiving, Beauties! I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday weekend with their families, and of course, stuffed their faces full of delicious food!

Now that the weather has finally started to cool down, we can pull out our big chunky knit sweaters, blanket scarves and booties! As the seasons change, beauty looks change too! Today, I am sharing with you the Fall Beauty Trends of the season!

#1 Bold Lips

Of course, no Fall look would be complete without a BOLD lip. The variety of shades are endless and include berries, browns and even greens! The idea of wearing such bold lips can be very scary to some, but with the variety of products and number of shades on the market – it is essentially fail-proof! If you are tempted to rock a bold lip but don’t know where to start, why not try rocking a lip stain first? Here is a list of my favourite shades for the Fall season:

Kat Von D – Lolita

Lime Crime – Raven

Kylie Cosmetics Liquid Lipstick in Trick (I don’t have this yet, but I am lusting over it!)

#2 Big Lashes

To compliment your bold and luscious lips, why not add BIG lashes! I know there is that old saying when it comes to makeup that you should choose either your lips or your eyes to be the main feature, but I say you should choose BOTH! You can always apply falsies or even get some eyelash extensions (Promakeup Coach – Lash Extensions) but, I find the best way to achieve big and fluffy lashes is to apply multiple mascaras! This trick has ALWAYS worked for me! Here are my favourite mascaras that I am using at the moment:

Oh So Pretty Cosmetics Instense Volume Mascara

L’Oreal Voluminous Million Lashes Mascara

Guerlain Mascara Maxilash Volumizing and Curling Mascara

#3 Red and Orange Eye Shadow

I am obsessed with eye shadows in shades of red and orange! I find they look AMAZING on every eye colour! I always get compliments when I wear these shades on my lids. What I do is apply a neutral shadow all over my lid (I use Benefit’s Hoola Bronzer as my base everyday) and then apply the red or orange shade (or both!) on the outer corner and smooth it out along my crease. Here are some of my favourite eye shadows in the Fall foliage shades:

Morphe 350M Palette

MAC Eye Shadow in Red Brick (Jaclyn Hill Favourite!)

Makeup Geek Eyeshadow in Morocco

#4 Smudged Eyeliner

The smudged eyeliner look is a huge trend this season! Not only is super simple to accomplish, it looks amazing and you don’t have to worry about whether your makeup is smudged – it’s supposed to be!!

This look really frames the eyes and the messier it is, the better! The best way to achieve this look is to apply a kohl liner along the entire waterline and then use a brush to gently smudge it out! Here are some of the best kohl liners to achieve this look:

Smashbox Always Waterproof Kohl Liner

Sephora Collection Long Lasting Kohl Pencil

Rimmel London Scandal Eyes Waterproof Kohl Liner

#5 Glitter!

Glitter accents seem to be taking the beauty world by storm this season and, I for one, am ALL for it! I love glitter! When the Pro Makeup Coach Team attended IMATS a couple of weeks ago, we were asked whether we wanted glitter added to our beauty looks and obviously, we said YES! I had glitter added to my winged liner which just made my eyes pop! Both Erin and Chelsea had glitter added to their pouts and oh my goodness, they looked STUNNING! I know the idea of glitter can sound a little too disco queen for some, but you can add just a shimmery eye shadow to your look and be right on trend! Here are some amazing products to add a little glitter to your beauty looks:

Urban Decay Heavy Metal Glitter Eyeliner

Nyx Face and Body Glitter

Bite Gold Creme Lip Gloss

And now, along with your Pumpkin Spice Latte, you are all set and ready for Fall 2016! If you have tried any of these Fall trends, let me know what you think!

That’s Y!
