Soo I was a little bit naughty the past month or so… I may or may not have purchased a few goodies online (Hehe!) Do I regret it? Nope! I think everyone should splurge on themselves every once in awhile. This week, I am showing off all my recent purchases.
With that being said, who’s ready to see the goods?!
I recently purchased an LED lamp from Amazon so I could do my own shellac manicures. I ordered a couple of the Sally Hansen Gel Nail Polish to try out because of a YouTube video I watched.
As I mentioned in my blog last week, I purchased the Sally Hansen Airbrush Legs that is a miracle for my pale legs!
I also picked up the L’Oreal Lash Paradise mascara. I have been hearing and seeing rave reviews and had to try this mascara out for myself. I have to say this has become my new favourite mascara and I HIGHLY recommend everyone run out and get one for themselves!
I discovered this site awhile ago, but haven’t actually purchased anything.
One night, while watching a MannyMUA YouTube video, I was introduced to Beautylish’s flexible payment plan. This is both a blessing and a curse. If you spend $100 (US), you can split your payments up into 3 instalments. Your entire order will be shipped to you right away, but you don’t have to pay for it all at once. No interest, no gimmicks, no fees. Beautylish just wants to make the experience of purchasing products better. This is a dream come true for beauty junkies like myself. However, it makes me want to buy more because I’m not paying for all of it at once. It’s a true test of self-control!
Also, I am super impressed with how Beautylish prepared my order. Everything was wrapped beautifully and it was evident that a lot of care went into preparing my order.
I am in love with Beautylish as they have many products that you can’t pick up at your local Sephora. Here is what I got from Beautylish:
- RCMA No Colour Powder
- The Ordinary Advanced Retinoid 2%
- The Ordinary Retinol 1%
- Jeffree Star Velour Liquid Lipstick in Doll Parts
- IT Cosmetics Your Skin But Better CC+ Cream with SPF 50+
- IT Cosmetics Bye Bye Under Eye Anti-Aging Concealer
- Charlotte Tilbury Hot Lips in Kim K.W.
This was the order I was most excited about! As mentioned a million times before, my ride or die is Jaclyn Hill. I have been watching this girl since she was doing tutorials in her tiny kitchen, in her tiny apartment and working at MAC just to get by. Five years later, this girl has over 4 million subscribers, is making videos with Kim Kardashian and just purchased her first home. Jaclyn is the epitome of #goals!
Jaclyn collaborated with Morphe to create the ultimate eyeshadow palette. It took two years to finish and was finally released this year!
During the last restock of her palette, I was having heart palpitations and my palms were super sweaty. It was a very intense situation. The palette sold out in 45 minutes and I GOT ONE! My Morphe package was finally delivered yesterday and IT. IS. EVERYTHING.
Since I just received the palette, I have only used it a couple of times. But just using it those two times, I am in love! I am seriously so impressed with the quality and the pigmentation. Clearly it was two years well spent to ensure these eyeshadows were perfect!
I will say that shipping from Morphe isn’t great. They have a flat rate fee for shipping to Canada in the amount of $29.95 (US). That is absolutely ridiculous! There are so many other US companies that do not charge nearly this much (i.e. Beautylish offers free shipping when you spend $35 or more). On top of the gigantic shipping fee, I ended up having to pay duties as well. I just had to keep telling myself that it’s all for my girl, Jaclyn!
Morphe’s products are amazing and not expensive at all which is why people love them so much! However, until they get a better shipping policy, I don’t think I will be ordering from them again. There are Canadian sites that sell Morphe products, but in order to get the Jaclyn Hill palette, I had to order through Morphe’s own website.
As I was spending so much on shipping, I also ordered the Highlight and Contour Sponge and Y14 Pro Detail Highlight brush which are also phenomenal!
And that’s everything! I really did go on a bit of a spree… Oops poops!
However if I am going to be completely honest, I am in no way going to stop buying beauty products anytime soon. So stay tuned…
